All former members of the College ("evolved Darwinians", as some of us like to be referred to) automatically become members of the Darwin College Society. The DCS aims to foster links between the College and former members, wherever they may be. There are no membership fees, although a charge is made for alumni dinners and for some of the other activities.
The DCS is run by the DCS Committee, which consists of former members and Fellows, and which works closely with the Development Office to organise a programme of social events for alumni throughout the year and to publish the Darwinian, the College magazine. DCS events usually have a local heritage theme.
